West Ham would be kicking itself if Arsenal sign Joan Jordan for £ 32m – HITC – EzAnime.net

Arsenal are still linked to a large number of midfielders, and Mikel Arteta remains interested in adding more quality to his team.

The Gunners have lacked creativity at times this season, although Emile Smith Rowe has certainly helped with that problem in recent weeks.

One link that emerged last week was with Sevilla midfielder Joan Jordan, as The Sun reports that Arteta wants to lure him to North London.

While Jordan has a £ 55 million release clause in his deal, Sevilla would supposedly sell for around £ 33 million, and such a deal would leave West Ham sick.

West Ham lobbied to sign Jordan from Eibar in the summer of 2019, and the midfielder confirmed to the Sports Stadium that he had almost completed a move to the Hammers.

He would have made more money with West Ham, but ultimately chose Sevilla, with a deal worth just £ 13 million.

Just 18 months later, Jordan is apparently worth more than double the price and more than four times the price if Arsenal have to pay the release clause.

Jordan, 26, has been the star of Sevilla, playing predominantly as a central midfielder with his passing, long-range shooting ability and his quality of set pieces making him a wanted man.

Watching him play for another Premier League club, and no less one in London, would be irritating to West Ham, which came so close to signing Jordan in 2019.

They would be kicking themselves for failing to push the deal, not only for its quality and initial offering price, but also for the resale value it clearly possesses.
