West Ham v Arsenal: Premier League – live! | English Premier Soccer League

90+1 minutes: Cresswell was also booked for his part in the melee. And Odegaard is going to be replaced by Lokonga.

90 minutes: Yellow card for Nketiah for preventing West Ham from taking a free kick. And that causes a flurry of bags. Declan Rice, in particular, has lost the rag quite spectacularly.

89 minutes: Fabianski takes a free kick forward but it is directly offside for a goal kick.

87 minutes: Saka, who took a hit a few minutes ago, limps off to be replaced by Smith Rowe.

85 minutes: Arsenal clears after some header tennis in the area.

83 minutes: Everything became very rudimentary again, which suits Arsenal to the ground.

81 minutes: Another change from the Hammers: Benrahma out, Yarmolenko in.

79 minutes: Good save from Fabianski again! Coufal hands possession to Nketiah, who again slices from the left and looks to curl one into the far corner with his right. The West Ham goalkeeper is up to the task… and claims the resulting corner.

77 minutes: A second change from West Ham: Mark Noble leaves to be replaced by Tomas Soucek. And for Arsenal, Cedric replaces Tomiyasu, who has limped off.

76 minutes: Zouma calmly deals with the danger while Nketiah looks to sneak around the outside. The pattern appears to be set at this point: West Ham on the front foot, Arsenal dangerous at half-time.

74 minutes: Elneny launches a yards effort over the bar from the edge of the box.

73 minutes: And Arsenal breaks, but Nketiah seizes a good chance at the far post with Fabianski defeated. That was a great opportunity to put this game to bed.

72 minutes: Benrahma does well to dig in a cross from the left, but Fornals’ volley hits Holding’s shins.

71 minutes: And here comes a change for West Ham: Antonio replaces Lanzini.

70 minutes: Both managers must be thinking of one or two replacements at this point. Gone very flat again for both sides.

68 minutes: Bowen goes down again when he tangles with Holding, but Mike Dean is again unmoved.

66 minutes: Pass, pass, Arsenal pass. pass pass pass pass pass…

64 minutes: West Ham have weathered that mini-storm and are back in control of things, Rice at the helm.

62 minutes: Xhaka, who is having one of those games, gives the ball away inside his own half. A few passes later, Holding has to head Benrahma’s cross.

60 minutes: Now it is Nketiah’s turn to put Fabianski to the test, but his effort is well claimed by the goalkeeper. West Ham falter a bit here as Arsenal up the intensity.

58 minutes: Martinelli launches a goal attempt from distance but it goes well over the crossbar.

56 minutes: West Ham will kick themselves here. Two set-piece goals conceded. Maybe that’s what happens when you’re so pressured defensively: you can devise a system to deal with open play, but you can’t hide the weakness of set plays.

¡META! West Ham 1-2 Arsenal (Gabriel 54)

The Gunners are back on the front lines! Saka clears the corner to the far post, where Martinelli returns it. Gabriel has the freedom of the small area and drives his header into the net to Fabianski’s thigh.

53 minutes: Good save from Fabianski as Saka looks to beat him at his first post. Arsenal corner…

51 minutes: Bowen goes into the book now for the dive! Ramsdale charge wildly out of their goal as the West Ham man looks to get to the end of a through ball and the West Ham man flicks the ball in before it falls to the turf. Quite laughable things but well detected by officials.

50 minutes: Once again, Arsenal have sloppy possession inside their own half, and West Ham have a throw-in.

49 minutes: Saka goes into Mike Dean’s book for a cynical trip on Bowen in midfield.

47 minutes: Benrahma sees his shot blocked by Holding as he finishes inside from the right. West Ham have also started better this half.

Peep! And off we go again. “I see you refer to the West Ham captain as ‘Nobile’ (min 25),” writes Peter Bowles. “If this is the opposite of mobile, I agree with you. However, he is still a legend.”

Players re-emerge for the second half to the tune of “The Game,” WWE’s Triple H entrance music. Does Arsenal have the pedigree to win this one, or will West Ham turn out to be the brain killer? Let’s find out!

Rest: West Ham 1-1 Arsenal

Well, a pretty sad contest came to life after 38 minutes. Holding nodded to Arsenal up front and then the visitors spent the rest of the half wishing West Ham equalised, which they duly did. More craziness in the second half, please!

¡META! West Ham 1-1 Arsenal (Bowen 45)

Although era coming. Coufal again has acres of space to the right. Throw an awkward cross into the box. Bowen takes a bunt, which jumps, then passes the effort of him past Ramsdale through the back of Gabriel.

44 minutes: the armory has been so sloppy in possession at times and again West Ham receive the ball inside Arsenal’s half having done nothing to win it. Fredericks’ center finds Fornals this time around and although West Ham can’t create an opening, the pressure is on.

43 minutes: …but an Arsenal header does it this time.

42 minutes: Keeping his head away from his own goal as Coufal sends another threatening ball into the box. Another corner of West Ham…

40 minutes: What salvation is this! West Ham’s turn to threaten from a corner. Rice looks to the near post and Ramsdale has to react quickly to get the effort out of the top corner. This game has gone 0-100 in the last three minutes.

¡FINISH! West Ham 0-1 Arsenal (39 en mano)

Well, I didn’t see it coming! The corner is thrown: Holding crosses his man at the near post and heads into the far corner.

38 minutes: Well save! Fabianski is right to understand Nketiah’s low effort. An Arsenal corner…

37 minutes: Tavares rumbles forward through the middle, but appears to have stage fright as he enters the final third and is knocked off.
