West Ham United manager David Moyes is not pleased with the performance of the VAR in Wednesday’s won home game against Chelsea (3-2).
The video referee disapproved Tomas Soucek’s 1-0 from a corner after 34 minutes because his teammate Michail Antonio was in the range of the shot.
The VAR took nearly four minutes to reach its decision. Antonio was inches behind the last Chelsea defender when Soucek shot the ball over him.
“I’m starting to lose faith in the VAR,” Moyes added afterwards Sky Sports. “I normally don’t want to complain about arbitration decisions, but now I can’t get around it. Everyone tells me that the goal should have counted.”
It is the third time this year that Moyes was angry with the VAR afterwards. Previously this happened in the 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United, when a goal by Robert Snodgrass was rejected for dubious reasons, and in the 2-0 defeat by Tottenham Hotspur, when West Ham was not penalized after a handball by Davinson Sánchez .

“All decisions are against us”
Moyes felt sorry for himself when he waited on the sidelines for a decision from the VAR. “I thought, are we ever going to get a decision here?”
“All the arbitration decisions lately are against us. I can’t explain it. That is why I told the players that we had to get our own luck. We did it. We fought hard and did many good things. players deserve a lot of confidence. “
