West Ham United and Liverpool played out a 2-2 draw in a thrilling Premier League match at the London Stadium. Both teams were looking to take the lead early in the match, but in the 43rd minute Jarrod Bowen scored to give the home team a 1-0 lead. Liverpool took the lead in the second half and quickly equalized in the 48th minute through a goal from Andrew Robertson. In the 65th minute, Alphonse Areola scored a goal of his own to give West Ham the lead again. However, Liverpool fought back and leveled the score 2-2 in the 77th minute thanks to a goal from Michail Antonio.
Both teams made key changes in their attempt to find a winner, with Tomas Soucek coming on for West Ham and Lazar Markovic and Trent Alexander-Arnold being replaced by Mohamed Salah, Joel Gomez and Daniel Nunez for Liverpool. Jake Quansah replaced Dominik Szoboszlai in the final minutes of the game, but neither team was able to score the winning goal. The match ended in a 2:2 draw and both teams had to settle for one point. The result maintains Liverpool’s claim to the Premier League title and West Ham will be pleased with their performance against one of the league’s best teams. Fans were treated to exciting football with plenty of goals and drama that kept them in suspense until the final whistle.
