West Ham knocked out of FA Cup by Bristol City in shock upset

Bristol.- Mexican Edson Álvarez’s West Ham fell 1-0 against Bristol City, from the Second Division, in a replay match of the FA Cup.

Sixth in the Premier League, West Ham found themselves behind on the scoreboard from minute 2, with a goal scored by Tommy Conway, as happened in the first duel, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Bristol, 14th in the Championship, was helped by the expulsion in the 51st minute of Said Benrahma, after strongly attacking rival midfielder Joe Williams, whom he hit in the chest with the studs.

‘Machín’ Álvarez was not considered for this duel, where his coach, David Moyes, used several players from the starting field such as James Ward-Prowse, Soucek, Emerson and Fabianski.
