As previously reported, MU had accepted West Ham’s offer for Maguire for £30 million (Rp. 584.5 billion) in the middle of last week. It is also believed that the player’s personal agreement with the West London club will not have any problems.
However, Maguire’s transfer to West Ham has not yet been completed. The Guardian Reportedly, West Ham canceled this move because it took too long to wait for Maguire to leave Old Trafford.
West Ham are said to be frustrated by the situation and are now starting to look for alternative options for the back line. Despite the possibility of reviving Maguire’s transfer to West Ham, for now the move is unlikely to happen.
Harry Maguire still under contract with Manchester United until 2025. The England international is reportedly asking for 7 million pounds (Rp. 136.3 billion) in compensation.
Maguire’s transfer failure will have an impact on MU’s plans to bring in Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich. Pavard was just about to land in Manchester when Maguire stepped up.
Pavard is believed to be interested in playing for the Red Devils after not planning to extend his contract with Bayern. At the moment Manchester United still continuing to negotiate to agree on Pavard’s transfer price after the club’s first offer was rejected.
Harry Maguire himself was included in MU’s line-up when they beat Wolverhampton 1-0 in the first match of the Premier League last night. However, Maguire only sat on the bench throughout the game.
