Burnley’s determination will be tested again in January with seven clubs believed to be interested in star center-back James Tarkowski.
The Clarets held firm with their £ 50m valuation for the England international in the summer.

The highest offer they received is believed to have been £ 31 million, from West Ham, but they were unwilling to budge.
Offers are expected to come in next month and Eurosport reports that West Ham and David Moyes are set to launch another effort to sign him.
The Hammers were the club most closely tied to the defense in the summer, but they weren’t willing to pay the asking price.
But the London club won’t be the only team considering an offer for Tarkowski and seven clubs are said to be interested.
Leicester was also interested during the summer and it looks like they will renew their interest when the transfer window reopens.

Tarkowski has 18 months left on his contract with Burnley
Burnley faces a difficult decision on what to do with Tarkowski, as the defender only has 18 months on his contract.
Hitting a £ 50 million fee seems unrealistic with such a short term on his contract.
Tarkowski has so far been unwilling to sign a new contract with the club.
Burnley is fighting to avoid relegation to the Championship and will likely need a player of his caliber to secure his Premier League status.
But if they are relegated, they are likely to see the 28-year-old’s value decline even further.
