West declares “total, hybrid war” to Russia – Russian Foreign Minister

According to Sergei Lavrov, the people of the Russian Federation are no strangers to sanctions.

AT Russia stated that Western countries have declared a “total, hybrid war” to the Russian Federation. And how long it will last is still unknown.

According to Russian media, this statement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a Saturday meeting of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy (SVOP).

“The collective West has declared a total, hybrid war against us, and it is difficult to predict how long this will all last, but it is clear that everyone without exception will feel the consequences,” Lavrov said.

Further, the Russian Foreign Ministry said: “We did everything to avoid a direct confrontation, but since the challenge has been thrown, we, of course, accept it.” At the same time, the minister did not mention that all the actions of the West were a response to the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

Recall that over the past two and a half months, Russia has repeatedly called for a ceasefire. In recent days, the US Secretary of Defense has insisted on this Lloyd Austin and Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz in conversations with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and President Vladimir Putin, respectively. However, the enemy continues the occupational actions.

In his speech, Lavrov also mentioned sanctions. According to him, the Russians are no strangers to them. As the minister noted, “they were almost always in one form or another.” At the same time, Lavrov did not specify that back in early March, Russia became a world record holder by the number of restrictions. And since then, the number of sanctions has only grown.
