Krui (Lampost.co) — The West Coast Health Office (Dinkes) recorded five cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) over the past two months in the local area. Currently, the five patients’ health conditions have recovered.
“From November to December we recorded five cases of DHF spread across two sub-districts, namely Ngambur and Bengkunat, while for the previous months we never recorded any cases of DHF in the West Coast,” said Head of the West Coast Health Office, Tedi Zadmiko through the Head of Prevention. and Control of Lysma Yunita, Tuesday, December 14, 2021.
Lisma said that of the five patients infected with dengue fever, one of them was an imported case from a student from Bengkunat District.
“The other three are staff from the Ngambur District Health Center, and the other is a resident of Sumber Agung Village, Ngambur District,” he explained.
Lisma explained that currently the condition of the five patients has improved, even the five of them have been doing their normal activities.
“Students from Bengkunat have now returned to Bandar Lampung to study, three staff of the Ngambur District Health Center have also returned to duty, and residents from Sumber Agung are also able to carry out their usual activities,” explained Lisma.
Lisma said that as a preventive measure, abate and fogging had been distributed in all UPT Puskesmas in the West Coast.
“We also urge the community to always maintain cleanliness in their living environment, do not give the mosquitoes a chance that causes dengue fever to breed in their living environment, especially where there are still many children who are vulnerable to dengue fever,” he said.
