Wesley Sneijder reveals new love: Yolanthe seems to be a thing of the past

Wesley Sneijder seems to have found love again. The former midfielder, who saw his relationship with Yolanthe Cabau collapse in 2019, shares a photo with his new flame on Instagram. It is the first time that Sneijder shares photos of his new private situation. The Instagram account of the lady in question, whose name is Romy Lukassen, shows that the two are in Crete.

Sneijder married his childhood sweetheart on June 18, 2005, with whom he had a son a year later. The two divorced in 2009. He then got married again in Amsterdam in April 2010, this time with Yolanthe. In 2010, the couple tied the knot for the church in Italy. Nine years later it became known that their relationship was no longer lasting.
Nevertheless, Sneijder continued to have warm feelings for Yolanthe for a long time. At the end of March it was announced that the two were in contact again. “But not in the sense that we have plans for the future. Maybe that can arise from it, maybe not. It’s not that it eats away at me, like: I have to force something. I’m enjoying life; if that happens, then that happens. If I get into a relationship with someone else, that’s nice too.”
