Were Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Kicked Out of Prince Charles’ Birthday Garden Party? Lip Reader Reveals What Really Happened

After one royal author made a bold claim about Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex creating a stir at Prince Charles’ birthday garden party, fans tried to pinpoint exactly what happened. When a video surfaced from the event, fans were certain that the Sussexes were asked to leave because of Meghan’s behavior — but a lip reading expert debunked any such claims.

Royal author believes Meghan’s rift with the royal family started at the party

In her new book Meghan and Harry: The Real Story, royal author Lady Colin Campbell claims Meghan’s falling out with the royal family started at Prince Charle’s 70th birthday garden party.

The author teased that “something happened,” but wouldn’t reveal the circumstances, instead pointing people to her book to get the scoop.

“I can’t repeat it exactly, it’s in the book, but what I can
say is, something happened at the very first garden party at Buckingham Palace,”
Campbell told the Daily Star. “We were all absolutely gobsmacked and
astonished, we all thought this doesn’t bode well.”

Were Meghan and Harry asked to leave the party?

A video from the garden party had royal fans talking since they believed that Prince Charles told Prince Harry to leave and many theorized it was Meghan’s behavior that got them ejected.

The video was posted in 2019 by one Twitter user who explained, “Remember the garden party held in honor of Charles’ 70th? And #themarkles were asked to leave 40 min in because of Meghan’s behavior? They were escorted out along with their entourage. M was not happy!”

Theories started swirling, given Campbell’s cryptic hint that something went down at the garden party, with one fan guessing Meghan “was bored.”

Others wondered if there was more attention given to the newlyweds rather than Charles for his birthday and many brought up how, when Prince Harry delivered a speech, Meghan laughed when a bee distracted her husband. She was caught sticking her tongue out over the bee incident and some thought that Camilla didn’t like the gesture.

The original poster noted in followup tweets: “…Some believe they were supposed to leave early. I believe something happened and it was probably due to inappropriate behavior on MM’s part such as sticking out her tongue, accepting gifts… someone even mentioned she was making the party all about herself talking about her wedding and general rude behavior. She is known to interrupt and talk over people. So we have a couple theories here.”

When someone asked what happened, they responded, “I believe it was because she stuck her tongue out behind Camilla’s back and it was caught by press. Charles either saw the whole thing or was informed. Whether or not the tongue was actually in response to Camilla or Charles, its rude and inappropriate, even for a child.”

Lip reading expert clears up everything

Daily Mail turned to an expert to find out what really happened and, well, it turns out it wasn’t nearly as dramatic as all the theories claim.

The expert lip reader said there “definitely wasn’t any
angst” in the exchange between Prince Harry and his father. When Prince Harry
moves to talk to his father, according to the lip reader, Charles tells him, “We
are going now, We have to leave,” to which Harry nods and says, “You go ahead.”

Prince Charles adds, “We will go now… see you later” and Prince Harry responds, “Yes, catch up… after.”

Camilla then tells Meghan and Harry, “Just coming to say goodbye… we will see you later,” and then the Sussexes leave the party.

The expert confirms that the whole exchange was “polite” and
“there wasn’t any evidence of angst” between the couples.
