Thieves in Werder’s most sacred area!
The team cash register was stolen from the Bremen cabin in the Weser Stadium by one or more strangers. The “Deichstube” reported on this first.
According to BILD information, the theft took place in October. According to reports, there were over 20,000 euros in the till. The police have been called in, but are groping in the dark. Werder football boss Clemens Fritz: “I can confirm that the cash register was stolen.”
Werder chases the cabin thief!
It’s surprising that Werder’s pros still keep cash at all. Christian Gross and Ilia Gruev was last employed as a cashier and was surprised by the theft. The stolen cash register is said not to have been freely accessible. The perpetrator or perpetrators were therefore at work with considerable criminal energy. The team says that no player is suspected.
With the money from the cash register, Werder has always financed the cheerful end-of-season trips in recent years and most recently let it rip in May 2022 after the promotion to Mallorca. It’s quite possible that the party tour next summer will have to be one size smaller after the theft.
