But his new colleagues can look forward to more than just his quality on the left and his speed. Köhn also has a very entertaining hobby: music!
Werder’s Köhn sings in a football band!
The left-back has already released several singles and an album with the “Broskeez”. In addition to Köhn, second division players Aaron Opoku (25, Kaiserslautern) and Christian Conteh (25, Braunschweig) also sing and rap. The fourth member of the group is football professional Hiswill Awuah (24, Munich Ravens).
“We’ve known each other since we were little,” says Köhn about his friends, who, like him, all come from Hamburg. “Other colleagues of ours also make music and we were always there. We also went to the microphone. It sounded good to those around us. So we never stopped.”
He hasn’t told his new team about his musical talent yet. “Maybe I’ll put on my song in the dressing room and they can give me a few tips on whether it’s good enough,” he says with a grin.

The journey for joint recordings has definitely become shorter for Köhn. He made the decision to move to Bremen last week “very quickly”.
“On Thursday I still thought I was training with Galatasaray,” he remembers. “Then my agent called me while I was in the weight room. I spoke to him briefly and he sent me to the coach to say goodbye. That was no longer possible with the team, they were already on the pitch.”
One day later, the move to the Bundesliga was official. Köhn: “I had a good exchange with my agent, good discussions with those in charge here. I really liked what they saw and what I saw.”
And he continued: “I really wanted to do it and prove myself in the Bundesliga, at a good level. I believe that Bremen is the right club for me.”
