The Dane feels comfortable in Bremen and is extending his contract.
Bundesliga soccer club Werder Bremen has extended the contract of midfielder Jens Stage. The association announced this at the general meeting on Monday night. As usual for Bremen, no contract term was mentioned.
“I’m happy and I come here every day with a good feeling,” said the Dane: “We’ve had a great time as a family in Bremen so far. It’s very good where we are stay, we get on very well with our neighbors. Everything fits.”
“Important sign” for Werder
Since his move from FC Copenhagen to Weser in the summer of 2022, the 28-year-old has played 73 games. He has already scored four goals this season, including a hat-trick against TSG Hoffenheim.
“Jens’ contract extension is another important sign for the team and the whole club, because it confirms that something is developing here that the players can recognize and what they want to be a part of,” said Peter Niemeyer, a professional baseball director, is ensconced.
