Werder Bremen and FC St. Pauli Battle to a High-Scoring Draw

Bundesliga soccer team Werder Bremen missed out on a victory in a high-scoring test against FC St. Pauli. Coach Ole Werner’s recently disappointing Bundesliga team separated from the second division leaders 3:3 (1:1) on Thursday.

Justin Njinmah (3rd), Jens Stage (54th) and Dawid Kownacki (58th, penalty) scored for the green-whites. Hamburg had meanwhile turned the game around with a penalty kick from Marcel Hartel (12th) and Elias Saad (50th).

Saad (65th) also scored the final point in a varied test in which Simon Zoller celebrated his debut after moving from VfL Bochum to the Kiezkickern.

Werder will play Borussia Dortmund after the international break on October 20th, while St. Pauli will play SC Paderborn the day after.
