In November 2021, the KG Wenter Klaavbröder eV Windhagen was able to organize the season opening sessions for carnival enthusiasts ladies and gentlemen with top-class Cologne carnivals, which are well-known beyond the state borders of Rhineland-Palatinate, taking into account special corona-related conditions.
Windhagen. For the carnivalists in the traditional society, not only the exuberant celebration with a feel-good effect is important, but also the support of people in need, who often lack the means to survive on a daily basis. That is why the KG particularly supports the action group Children in Need eV and collects donations at the events.
The action group currently runs more than 50 aid projects in the Philippines, India and Brazil. The needs of children, young people and their families are an important concern. This includes, among other things, the focus on school and vocational training. Although events by the Wenter Klaavbröder had to be canceled due to the corona pandemic, the board was able to report the remarkable donation proceeds of 3,951.63 euros and hand them over to the action group Children in Need eV.
Unfortunately, the action group had to cancel its traditional Christmas market due to the number of infections. Therefore, the symbolic check handover took place just before Christmas in the campaign group’s new domicile on the Wirtgen campus in Neustadt-Rahms.
