Julia Wennersten came to Belgrade with, on paper, small chances to reach the semifinals. But when she and the other hurdles runners crossed the finish line after the 60 meters, the Swede was third, a position that would come and go.
– I thought I was third when I reached the finish line and then when I stood and talked to the press they said “Now you fell down to fourth” and then right after I was third again, says Wennersten.
