“Wendy Williams’ Former Financial Adviser Expresses Concerns About Her Declining Health Since Guardianship”

Wendy Williams’ Former Financial Adviser Raises Concerns About Her Health Since Guardianship

Former financial adviser and attorney LaShawn Thomas has expressed concerns about the declining health of talk show host Wendy Williams since she was placed under guardianship. Thomas took to Instagram to share an old video of Williams appearing healthy and energetic, flexing her muscles while sitting in bed. Thomas pointed out the stark difference between Williams’ well-being during her time in Florida with her son and her current state in New York under guardianship.

The video, which was recorded by Williams’ son Kevin Hunter Jr., was taken two weeks before the court ordered her to move back to New York and be placed under guardianship. Thomas questioned the recent diagnoses of dementia and aphasia that Williams has received, suggesting that if her diagnosis is true, her son should be allowed to be by her side. Thomas emphasized that both Williams and her son deserve compassion and support during this difficult time.

Williams’ current spokesperson declined to comment on the matter, and Wells Fargo, the bank that requested the guardianship, did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Williams’ family members have also expressed their frustration at being unable to see or communicate with her amid her ongoing health struggles.

In 2022, Wells Fargo claimed that Williams was an “incapacitated person” and needed assistance in managing her finances. The bank expressed concern about her situation and hoped that a temporary guardian or evaluator would be appointed to ensure her affairs were properly handled. However, Williams had been vocal about her opposition to the guardianship.

Thomas, who no longer works with Williams, previously accused Wells Fargo of leaving the media mogul to “die” when they took over her accounts. He has been a staunch opponent of the guardianship for years and has advocated for Williams’ son, who is now 23, stating that he tried to help his mother both mentally and physically with the assistance of a team of doctors.

Unfortunately, the details of Williams’ guardianship case have been sealed, and she has recently spoken out about her financial struggles in an upcoming docuseries about her life. She claims to have “no money” and has asked for personal space and peace amid the difficult situation.

Wendy’s story and her ongoing health struggles will be further explored in the docuseries “Where Is Wendy Williams?,” which airs on Lifetime. The series aims to shed light on her current situation and provide insight into her journey.
