Wendy stinks in good speeches Mehmet: transfers 215,000 euros to Kees van der Spek: Scammers faced

Mehmet tries a lot of contacts with Wendy and when he comes to Holland, they meet. The two begin a relationship and as a result the relationship with the father of his children ends. Wendy also meets Mehmet’s family and they seem to have a bright future ahead of them. During their relationship, Mehmet keeps asking for money. He starts small, but – as we often see in Kees van der Spek’s program – larger and larger amounts are being asked. “I need 5,000 euros for my daughter, so you have to transfer it. In such a convincing way,” says Wendy. Yet she transfers the money. “I was already so fascinated by her stories and her attention.”

The demand for money continues to grow. “Then the gentleman saw an Audi A4. For 38,000 euros. I paid for it.” Mehmet has some nice chats. He has seen a piece of land on which he wants to grow avocados. This way he would get the money back and transfer it to Wendy, but for that investment he needs money from his he lover. He then he transfers another 35,000 euros.

Wendy explains that the money isn’t hers at all. “I borrowed this money from my parents. They didn’t know it was for him. So yeah, very stupid. I put my parents at a disadvantage with this.” Her parents aren’t as angry with Wendy as they are with Mehmet. “I was so in love, I didn’t see what happened,” Wendy says when she recounts what other large sums she has transferred. He completely envelops her by saying that she doesn’t need anyone but him and her family. Thus her contact with her own friends diminishes. “I only had contact with him.” In total, Wendy transfers around 215,000 euros.

When Wendy ends up in the hospital with a cyst in her uterus and is immediately operated on, as soon as she comes out of the anesthesia she reads that Mehmet is melting. When she asks for her money, she threatens to make her life miserable. Mehmet turns out not to be a sweetheart, because when her ex-husband, with whom Wendy still lives, leaves for Turkey to have an affair, he sends pictures of a gun to Wendy. It would be for her ex-husband. But Mehmet is not embarrassed and still asks Wendy for money. “Yesterday. If I wanted to transfer 750 euros”. She last transferred money last week, fearing Mehmet and her threats from him. “He completely destroyed Me.”

Fortunately, Wendy has the support of her parents, after she has told everything honestly. She after she feels very stupid, but she wants to share her story about her to save others from the same mistakes.

Kees goes to Turkey with Wendy. When they see him walking outside, Wendy is already full. Along with someone from the show, presumably a friend of Wendy’s, he visits her ex-girlfriend before confronting him. But it soon becomes apparent that Wendy is going through a tough time both mentally and physically, because she has to throw up when I’m with him. She remains friendly, but makes it clear that he is constantly following Wendy. They decide to meet the next day.

When they meet, Mehmet indicates that he wants to make a new investment. For this he needs another 150,000 euros from Wendy. Ridiculous. Time to step in. Kees begins the confrontation. “Mehmet, can you still look at yourself in the mirror?” Wendy also talks to him. “You have completely destroyed me.” He denies. “You did it!” she screams as he walks away. According to the interpreter – and security guard – Mehmet contacts his lawyer by phone. He denies once again that he destroyed Wendy. “Yes,” Wendy yells.

Wendy cries in the car. “She’s over. Finally.” Later, off camera, Mehmet and Wendy make a deal. He would have repaid the money in stages of 10,000 euros. To date, however, he has only transferred 220 euros. “At this rate, he won’t finish paying for 244 years,” he says at the end of the program. Wendy hired a debt collection agency.
