Wendy Holdener celebrates her first slalom victory with a short trip to New York
Wendy Holdener had to compete in slalom 106 times before she managed to win a race. The Schwyz native is now rewarding herself with a trip to the city.
“It finally worked out. Now we can celebrate our first victory togetherĀ»: said Wendy Holdener after winning her very first slalom in Killington at the weekend.
A few hours later, the 29-year-old from Schwyz shows her fans how she celebrates her victory: “24 hours in New York! What a special celebration for my first slalom victory yesterday,” she writes in an Instagram post. The skier added a “š„°”.
By the way: Holdener didn’t have to go very far from the slalom podium in Killington Vermont to the metropolis of New York City – there’s only a five-hour drive between them, which is child’s play by US standards. In New York, Holdener now enjoys the skyline, the Brooklyn Bridge, her modern hotel room, or appears to have gone on a shopping trip with a friend.
Her Insta followers might treat her to New York fun from the bottom of their hearts. Former Nati star and now SRF World Cup pundit Beni Huggel also happily commented on Wendy’s post in New York. He namely like this: Ā«šššĀ» (I)
