Former President Lee is a nuclear power expert who has had all of the positions related to nuclear power generation. While working for the Korea Electric Power Corporation, he served as the head of the Korean Peninsula Energy Development Organization (KEDO) project and the head of the nuclear power construction department from 1999 to 2000.
When he worked as the head of the KEDO business, he worked as a leading role in the construction project of the North Korean light water reactor. Currently, he is serving as the Chairman of the Nuclear Policy Alliance. The Nuclear Policy Solidarity was founded in December 2017 in opposition to the government’s anti-nuclear policy.
