Last night Saturday July 30 Beta, the original band from cool Puebla presented himself to the delight of his fans in the elegant Esperanza Iris City Theater in the first picture of Mexico City. The night was full of chatter and good rock that the group managed to impregnate the emotion of all the attendees.
PEHUENCHE AND THE SOFT NOTE TO ENLIGHTEN THE RECEPTION
It is wonderful to see the Historic Center at night, with all the lights adorning the cobbled streets and with that characteristic timeless air that runs through each of the streets full of life within the first city square. Imagine then that the experience moves inside the buildings, where the City Theater receives you with all elegance with everything and its mysterious corners. The staff is a gem, super friendly and attentive to the needs of the auditorium, patiently accompanying you to your seat.
Arriving at the assigned position, they had to wait a few minutes since 20 minutes after the appointment agreed in the advertisement, Pehuenche accompanied by Ricardo Casanova (saxophonist) played with guitar, sax and light held by the whole pandilla early that she was already settled and attentive to the calm melodies of the Pehuenche.
“Camina” and his latest album Lo Sagrado were part of the acoustic repertoire of the night, even one with a dedication to Pehuenche’s brother was present in the setlist, since he mentioned that his favorite song is “Dos Amantes”. After spending almost half an hour, both he and Ricardo left the stage, but not before thanking those present for their good reception.
BETA IN HIS FIRST THEATER IN THE CITY
Around 8:11 at night, the lights went out, the screams turned on and in front of a screen with red lights the band appeared in the shadows, that’s right dear, Beta had arrived and the night was just beginning in the center of the City.
As soon as the reflectors were turned on and the rolls were already dropped as “Firmament” and “Necessary Adversaries” to prepare the band for what would be dropped. The evening progressed little by little while Beta played his songs and they made repeated breaks to chat with the fans:
“We are going to give you a show full of songs that you can sing with us if you know them, please sing them, it is a show that travels in the 10 years that we have been playing, this is the last year and it is called Second Skin, ah it isn’t true”, Blas joked with his fans
Between thanks and the warning that the show would be recorded, the only thing that Beta achieved was that their fans turned on more song after song.
Alvaro and Arthur (guitar and bass respectively) they gave themselves completely, on their kneesdancing, turning, scraping the instruments hard, the dedication of the band to its people could be seen, while Julián did his thing on drums.
It was clear that they were enjoying it and that they were excited to be there. “Yo fugaz” and “En Movimiento” were other ladies invited to last night’s bailongo. And while some technical problems arose, the court was already heated, Blas added: “We are finally understanding each other, how crazy, how crazy to be here”.
“Three” and “Ghost” they also appeared to the approval of the race, it was practically a complete journey through its entire history, and so we all navigated through the melodies and repeated pauses to chatter with people.
Suddenly the already so famous moment of Dr. Simi made his presence twice, even Blas in one of those asked: “What is the issue with Doctor Simi? Can someone explain it to me?” so that in his next break he would make a note that they had put one of those two dolls of Beta’s little beach plush toy.
They were practically in their juices, with their people although not in their native town, if they were well at ease with the people of Chilanga and that could be noticed even in the Central Axis. With a good entrance capacity and a scale of interaction with its people of 9.5 out of 10, Beta managed to satisfy red-bone fans and new colados who accompanied their loved ones to the gig of one of his favorite bands.
