In second place was “admin” – about 4 million people used it. “12345678” closed the top three with a result of 1.3 million applications. Other extremely common passwords included in the list include “1234567890”, “Aa123456” and “qwerty”.
The password “password”, which was the leader last year, dropped to 7th place. Any of these combinations, according to experts, can be hacked in just a couple of seconds using automated programs.
Experts predict that next year the list of the most common passwords will remain virtually unchanged. The security of personal data and the reliability of protection against unauthorized access depend on the choice of password. In the modern digital world, the responsibility for the safety of their data lies with each user.
