Well done, Borisov, mashallah! – View Info – 2024-08-05 23:14:06

/ world today news/ In the year in which Bulgaria celebrates 140 years since its Liberation from Ottoman rule, Prime Minister Boyko Borisov invites to Bulgaria … the Turkish Sultan. And she doesn’t just invite him in the kindest way, but puts her heart and soul into providing our former slave girl with a bright European future. No, it’s not a joke. And it’s not a farce. It’s a suicidal political gesture. And mess with the story. I don’t know if the German friend of our prime minister – Angela, realizes the provocative symbolism with which this political move is loaded. If so, that makes her an accomplice. If not – don’t wonder why Bulgarians dislike the EU more and more. Because of such misunderstandings, Euroscepticism in Bulgaria will only grow.

An EU-Erdogan meeting will be good for all of us, the chancellor said after the conversation with Borissov in Varna, completely ignoring the feelings of the host nation. The “reconciliation” between the European Union and Turkey with the participation of the tripartite Antonio Tajani, Jean-Claude Juncker and Donald Tusk and with the mediation of our Bashbakan Borisov will take place, mind you, in March – the month in which the 140-year celebrations culminate from our Liberation from Ottoman rule! Erdoğan likes this! Symbolic diplomacy is to the taste of the Turkish president. Do we have to remember that he summoned Borisov on the eve of his birthday and our Bashbakan celebrated him with “Taipei”. The ability to endure humiliation is sold as high diplomacy in our country.

If the resumption of dialogue between the EU and Turkey is such an urgent task, they should have invited him to their home – in Brussels. However, the Eurocrats correctly estimated that the visit of a persona non grata like Erdoğan would cause a negative public reaction, given the Turkish leader’s actions towards Europe. Human rights organizations will also jump. And in the US, the security of the Turkish leader simply beat the protesters. Unnecessary headaches. That’s why they apparently decided to assign the difficult mission to “our friend” Borisov, who simply turns his back on his “neighbor”.

The “peacemaking” initiative of the EU and Borissov comes at a time when Turkey is increasingly turning into a despotic state. Tens of thousands of public figures, intellectuals, teachers and journalists, accused of the coup two years ago, are rotting in Turkish prisons. The Turkish authorities deal mercilessly with any display of verbal audacity. Moreover, the invitation comes at a time when Turkey is carrying out military aggression in northern Syria, violating all international rules. But the EU swallows all this and seeks reconciliation with the dictator. Can you imagine the outcry there would have been if this was happening not with Turkey, but with Russia. But it seems to hypocritical Europe that international law only applies to individual countries.

Europe is in the grip of its weaknesses. Unable to deal with the migrant tsunami, caused by this same Merkel, the EU made a deal with Erdogan – money in exchange for “stopping” the migrant flow. Thus he became completely dependent on the Sultan. And he knows it. Therefore, every time the EU starts to sell him tricks, scare him by freezing the accession process or criticize him for human rights, he rattles off his unfailing trump card – “I will open the floodgates to migrants”. And Europe is now collapsing. A humiliating sight.

Which gave Erdoğan every right to declare on the eve of the referendum that strengthened his sole power in Turkey: “They (the Europeans) use all kinds of ways to attack Turkey, but everyone sees the obvious truth that as long as we stand firmly on our feet, the more they lose ground”.

As for the relations between Sofia and Ankara, we should not for a moment forget the scandalous intervention of the Turkish state in the last parliamentary elections. Turkey created and generously financed the pro-Turkish party DOST, and only the adequate reaction of the official cabinet and President Radev stopped the aggressive foreign interference in our internal affairs.

After all this, the self-proclaimed “peacemaker” Borisov throws tantrums in front of Erdogan and without an ounce of pride declares that what makes him happiest is the restoration of the relationship between Turkey and Europe. “Happiest”, anadamo?

We can hardly imagine a more humiliating attitude towards Bulgarian history and national feelings than that demonstrated by the current rulers.

After all, it has been a decade-long tactic of Turkish diplomacy to announce its presence in our country around March 3 under one pretext or another and, reminding of those sad five centuries, to make the national holiday of the Bulgarians bitter. This year, however, her breakthrough is colossal, and it’s thanks to an insider.

At the same time, the authorities are bending like a fire hose on the issue of Putin’s visit at the invitation of President Radev. They pretend that such a topic does not exist. One kind – if he wants to come, let him command, but we have nothing to do with that. The government does its best not to bring up the Bulgarian-Russian topics so that there are no material reasons for Putin’s visit. And what could be more logical than inviting the head of state of Russia to the celebration? A week ago, when asked about the upcoming visit, Borisov’s right-hand man – Tsvetan Tsvetanov even recommended: “We’d better watch the EU presidency”, dismissing the topic as almost harmful to our European reputation. At the same time, both the prime minister and his deputies do not stop talking about Erdogan. “He is always welcome at our place,” Ekaterina Zaharieva was happy that day, and sherbet dripped from her mouth.

But the biggest paradox is that this humiliating behavior is swallowed by the so-called patriots in power. The same ones who waved the flag in the squares and shouted “Get up, get up, Balkan hero…”. From the “patriot” Siderov, who wanted to ban the news in Turkish on BNT, from the “patriot” Karakachanov, who jumped against Turkey’s membership in the EU, from the “patriot” Simeonov, who beat Turkish grandmothers along the border. Today, these heroes listen to Borisov’s sherbetli stories about Ankara, and in their hearts there is not an iota of patriotic fervor, and their mouths are speechless, if not full of baklava.

Today, these yesterday’s patriots are already in the management blue, and their hearts have stopped beating anxiously due to the proximity of “our enemies”, they are already “paradise submissive”.

Today, they rule together with Borissov, who openly favors Turkey at the expense of Russia in our country and is seen publicly as Ankara’s Trojan horse in the EU. The Bulgarian prime minister seems much more committed to the interests of Turkey and the Western Balkans vis-a-vis the EU than to defending our own.

Working for a foreign country is still a crime, despite the complete loss of sovereignty. And with all his actions so far, Borisov is working to the detriment of the national interest. And if today the danger of Turkish military aggression is minimal, then the interference in our elections is a recent fact, and our economic and cultural assimilation arouses undisguised appetites. And the credit for that goes to Borisov.

The “Borisov 1” cabinet buried “Belene”, which facilitated the appearance of Akkuyu NPP in Turkey. Thus, very soon Bulgaria will find itself with exhausted electricity capacities and will have to import electricity from its southern neighbor.

Do we need to recall the crime “South Stream” committed by Borisov, as a result of which “Turkish Stream” was born? So instead of the gas pipeline passing through Bulgaria, feeding the infamous “Balkan” hub and bringing revenue to our country, now the pipes go directly to Turkey, and we are dependent on a transit country. Our southern neighbor aggressively invaded the hospital sector as well as healthcare in general. It is enough to mention only the swindle of Peter Moskov with the Turkish vaccines, which has remained uninvestigated to this day.

What about the Sofia Airport concession? A Turkish company has appetites for our largest airport, and the goal is to reduce the Sofia airport to an intermediate station for Turkish airlines. Turkey is currently building the largest airport in all of Europe and does not need Bulgarian competition. Only the intervention of the services and the President months ago stopped this dangerous breach in national security. Now, however, Borisov’s government has resumed the concession procedure, and our largest airport is in danger of repeating the fate of the former state giant – Balkan Airlines.

All this is due to the systematic efforts of Borissov, who is more concerned about the European future of Turkey than about the holidays of his own country.
