Well-deserved victory for FC Kreuzlingen: 4-1 win against FC Winterthur U21

FC Kreuzlingen has impressively shown in the 1st league why they are considered the best football team in Thurgau. In a combative away game, the Kreuzlingen team defeated FC Winterthur’s U21 team 4:1 and secured three important points.

After a disappointing defeat the previous week, the tension was high ahead of the game. FC Kreuzlingen was under pressure to score points against Winterthur’s U21 team in order to keep up with the top of the table. Despite the nervous starting position, the team put in a strong performance and kept the upper hand in a hard-fought game.

The match began evenly, with both teams fighting hard for control in midfield. It was only shortly before half-time that Reda Laidouci scored the redeeming first goal for FC Kreuzlingen in the 42nd minute. His goal put the visitors in the lead and sent an important message before the break.

In the second half, Kreuzlingen increased the pressure further. Uchenna Anioke made it 2-0 in the 69th minute and extended Thurgau’s lead. Just a few minutes later, in the 76th minute, Andri Zimmermann made it 3-0 and finally set the course for victory. Shortly before the end, Reda Laidouci crowned his strong performance with another goal in the 83rd minute, making the final score 4-1.

With this convincing away win against FC Winterthur’s U21 team, FC Kreuzlingen not only picked up three important points, but also showed that they are not letting the previous week’s defeat get them down. The team held its ground in the table and consolidated its deserved position. Goal scorers Laidouci, Anioke and Zimmermann underlined the team’s offensive strength, which can now go into the next games strengthened.
