PEKANBARU – Thousands of people started visiting Jalan Gajah Mada in Pekanbaru ahead of the arrival of the future presidential candidate of the Republic of Indonesia, Anies Baswedan, on the agenda of the Grand Meeting, Sunday afternoon (4/12/2022).
Thousands of masses came from various volunteer groups and mass organizations to attend the Grand Meeting and meet face to face with Anies Baswedan, the Indonesian presidential candidate of the NasDem party.
It is known that thousands of Anies Baswedan’s supporters came from various regions of Riau including Kampar Regency and other areas. On the other hand, a number of cleaning forces from Port City DLHK were already preparing to clean up the place after the activity. Not only that, the location is also full of street vendors around the location.
Anies Baswedan himself is expected to arrive at Pekanbaru SSK II Airport at 1600 WIB and recite the Asr prayer in congregation at Al Falah Mosque, Jalan Sumatra.
Before Riau, Anies Baswedan took part in a health walk with the community in the city of Padang, West Sumatra. Anies Baswedan arrived at Lake Cimpago around 0900 WIB. Anies also greeted her loyal supporters with umbrellas in hand. Taking selfies together and shaking hands is enough to cure the desire to meet his idol presidential candidate in person.
Later, Anies Baswedan moved again to follow another agenda which had been prepared by the committee, namely Anies Baswedan Volunteers meeting at Truntum Padang hotel.
About 31 groups of Anies Baswedan volunteers waited faithfully for Anies Baswedan in the meeting room of the Hotel Truntum. Finally Anies arrived in the meeting room around 10.00 WIB.
Anies told hundreds of volunteers, “It turns out that the atmosphere in Ranah Minang is really different. It’s extraordinary, since we arrived at the airport, then INS Kayu Tanam, then Diniyah Putri Padangpanjang. And this morning it was raining in Padang but the enthusiasm has not died down!”
The presidential candidate of the NasDem party continued: “I said that I saw women arriving with umbrellas, in the sense that it was raining before leaving the house. Right? If you don’t bring an umbrella, it means that you have arrived at the place, then it will fall the rain. So what’s the problem? with the water, let’s face it. So the enthusiasm of the volunteers in West Sumatra is really extraordinary.”***
