Welcoming Ramadan, New Stickers Appear on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp

GREGET.co.id – Welcoming the holy month of Ramadan, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp have released a special collection of special Ramadan stickers in Indonesia.

Starting today, Tuesday (13/4/2021), Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp users can download these stickers.

Like previous years, these stickers are only available for a limited time. This means that stickers can only be used during Ramadan.

In addition, the sticker designs of the three platforms are different. Here’s how it looks and how to use it on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp as a whole.

Ramadan stickers on Facebook

Facebook has released two Ramadan themed stickers. The first sticker features the mosque and the words “Ramadhan Mubarak”, while the second sticker displays the moon and the words “Ramadhan Kareem”, which can be used to complement and sweeten Facebook Stories posts.

The stickers are also easy to use; users simply click the Create Story option in their profile photo, then select “Stickers”, from which they can select Ramadan-themed stickers to include in the Story. Then, in the lower right corner, click the Share button.

Ramadan stickers on Instagram

Apart from Facebook, Instagram users also welcomed the arrival of many new Ramadan-themed stickers. Instagram is launching three stickers with varying designs and colors today.

The first sticker features snacks and drinks inside, the second sticker features moon and star symbols, and the third sticker features a mosque icon wrapped in a moon and star background.

Instagram also features a special story called “Ramadhan” to make it easier for users to see the stories of their friends who used the three stickers.

These Instagram Stories are displayed alongside other Instagram Stories rows. Stories are collections of content from other users who have tagged themselves with “Ramadan” stickers.

Thus, users can only view Stories from the accounts they follow that include the “Ramadan” sticker.

It’s easy to apply these “Ramadan” stickers. To get started, make a photo or video for Stories. Then, in the top right corner, click the sticker icon. Later users will see a sticker with the words “Ramadan” at the very top.

This is not the first time Instagram has featured a collection of Stories grouped under one theme. Curation of Stories is similar to what Instagram did in Indonesia when it released a limited edition sticker with the theme “Stay Home”.

Ramadan stickers on WhatsApp

WhatsApp has also released a special collection of stickers for the Ramadhan edition in Indonesia at the same time as the holy month of Ramadan.

On WhatsApp, users can use stickers to send messages and express themselves while chatting.

This sticker collection is the result of a collaboration between WhatsApp and Murat Kalkavan, an illustrator who lives in Istanbul, Turkey. The sticker collection is available in Indonesian.

In addition, the collection of stickers also varies, starting from iftar greetings, sahur, ablution times to happy Eid greetings that can be sent via chat.

Users can get this Ramadan edition sticker just by downloading it from the “All Stickers” section. Then, on the WhatsApp keyboard, click the sticker button then the (+) sign in the far right corner.

Select the “Ramadan Bersama” sticker on the right, then click the download button (down arrow). Once downloaded, a sticker shortcut “Ramadhan Bersama” will appear in the sticker menu in the WhatsApp conversation column and can be used immediately.

In total there are 28 stickers, some of which depict Ramadan traditions, such as fasting activities.
