Our club and Atalanta have reached an agreement for the loan of the Argentine international goalkeeper, champion of America in 2021 and of the Europa League last season.
Atlético de Madrid and Atalanta have reached an agreement for the loan of Juan Musso, who will play for our club until the end of the season.
The 30-year-old Argentine goalkeeper, 191 centimetres tall and with great command of the aerial game, has extensive experience in the Italian Serie A, where he has played for the last six seasons after having started his professional career at Racing Club de Avellaneda in his native country.
He came through the youth ranks of Club de Regatas San Nicolás and in 2012 he signed for Racing Club, where he was crowned champion of Argentina in 2014. He then made the leap to Europe with Udinese, where he played alongside another player who is now also a red-and-white, Rodrigo de Paul. He has played for Atalanta for the last three seasons, with whom he won the Europa League last season. In total, he played 203 games during his time in Italy, being decisive in the achievement of the first continental title in the history of Atalanta.
An international in the lower categories of the Argentine national team, he made his debut in 2019 with the senior team and won the Copa América in 2021 and the Finalissima in 2022.
The goalkeeper passed the relevant medical examination at the Vithas – Invictum High Performance Sports Medicine Centre at the Arturo Soria University Hospital in Madrid and subsequently signed his new contract.
Welcome, Musso!
