Weird West made its debut at The Game Awards three years ago, the first project at the then newly founded WolfEye Studios. The core of the team is made up of former veterans of Arkene Studios who have previously worked on the Preyen and Dishonored games as well. Their first game would have originally been released in January, but Devolver Digital, which was in charge of the release, postponed the premiere for more than two months, so it slipped to March 31st.
However, this date is very close, so it was timely to introduce the team’s Wild West garnish Weird West more seriously, which will be an isometric-looking action role-playing game that also bears the marks of immersive simulators.
In the nearly forty-minute developer presentation, Raphael Colantonio, the game’s creative director, and Gael Giraudeau, a chief engineer in system design, play and talk about the game’s main pillars.
