Bestensee (dpa) – Volleyball Bundesliga team Netzhoppers KW-Bestensee has parted ways with middle blocker James Weir and diagonal attacker James Jackson. It is not yet clear which club the two players will join. The Netzhoppers announced on Thursday.

The Australian Weir had only come to Bestensee from TV Rottenburg last season. He was one of the permanent staff at Netzhoppers under the recently moved to the United Volleys Frankfurt. The 25-year-old is currently in action with the national team of his home country at the Nations League in Rimini.

The Canadian Jackson had to share the position in the diagonal attack with Johannes Mönnich at Netzhoppers last season. He was feared by opponents mainly because of his massive serves, but is now looking for a new club again after just one season.
