A goal festival in Germany: VfL Wolfsburg has dueled with Werder Bremen pulled the longest straw. Wout Weghorst was important and accounted for two of the five goals: 5-3.
Weghorst signed against Werder for hits five and six of the season. Werder took the lead twice in the first half, but Wolfsburg made up twice. Weghorst gave his team the 3-2 lead in the 37th (!) Minute, after which it became 3-3 shortly after half time.
It stayed at that for a long time, until Weghorst let himself speak again fifteen minutes before the end and with a beautiful header fabricated the 4-3. It remained exciting until the very last minute of the game, but in the fifth minute of injury time Bartosz Bialek put an end to all uncertainty. Tahith Chong was given eighteen minutes of playing time.
Wolfsburg has performed strongly this season and is fifth in the Bundesliga.
Weghorst strikes again! What a great header.
