Krefeld / Mönchengladbach. Choosing the right course of study can be quite a challenge. The selection of universities, subjects and locations is often overwhelming. In order to make it easier for prospective students to start their right course of study, the nationwide “Study Orientation Weeks” will take place from January 17th. The Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences will also be presenting its range of courses from January 17th to February 4th.
Those interested in studying can expect various workshops, lectures and taster lectures that give a deep insight into the numerous departments of the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences. The week begins with an introductory event where participants have the chance to talk to a student about everyday university life. The basics of the application process are also explained. In other events, interested parties can take part in virtual tours through different departments. Lectures on content relevant to the course, such as modern design topics or basics in the field of computers and IT, give an overview of the content even before the start of the course. In particular, the fields of textile and clothing technology, economics and health care offer a wide range of options.
Despite online events, the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences attaches great importance to providing the most realistic possible insight into everyday student life. The participants can put their questions to students and professors or take part in one of the many online counseling sessions.
The Study Orientation Weeks are a joint initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Science, the Ministry of Schools and Education, the Regional Directorate of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Federal Employment Agency and the universities in North Rhine-Westphalia.
