The temperature inland will drop to freezing point overnight. It can also freeze slightly regionally. But despite the combination with winter showers, the chance of slipperiness is small and very local. This is due to the cloud cover, which means that road surface temperatures remain above freezing in most places. Only during longer clear spells can there be some slipperiness on bridges and viaducts inland.
On Tuesday, a low-pressure area will move north along our country. In the (early) morning that brings wet snow. In the afternoon there is still a chance of wet snow, but the sun also breaks through. If any snow remains this week, it will probably be Tuesday evening.
Due to the snow, it can be slippery on the road on Tuesday evening and night. Also in the night from Wednesday to Thursday it freezes and there is a chance of slipperiness.
The (wet) snow showers will continue until Friday, when soft air from the southwest brings higher temperatures. It is not yet clear what the weather picture will be on Friday. But on the weekend the temperature can rise to more than 10 degrees. It will continue to rain and there may be a lot of wind.
