Next week it will be relatively cool for the time of year with temperatures between 19 and 22 degrees. It will remain dry most of the time, predicts Weather Plaza Sunday.
A high pressure area southwest of Ireland and low pressure over Scandinavia mean we have a westerly to northwesterly flow this week. This current provides relatively cold ocean air in the Netherlands.
Temperatures along the west coast and in the north of the country will be between 18 and 20 degrees this week. Inland it will be 20 to 22 degrees and in Brabant, Limburg and Gelderland a maximum of 23 degrees.
From 1991 to 2020, it got between 20 degrees in the northwest and 24 degrees in the southeast during the same period in the afternoon hours. So this year it is slightly colder than usual.
As mentioned, rain will usually not occur this week, but occasionally there may be some showers here and there. An exception is the period from Wednesday afternoon to Thursday afternoon. Then there will probably be more rain.
At the end of the week, the high pressure area above Ireland will come to the Netherlands. From Friday it will therefore remain mainly dry, and the temperature is expected to rise to about 25 degrees inland.
