The Ministry of Public Health (MSP) published the weekly report of the coronavirus In Uruguay, which indicates that 709 new cases of covid were recorded between October 30 and November 5. The previous report had reported that 931 cases had been registered in one week.
In addition, the document indicates that six deaths occurred in the week of patients diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2, when three deaths were recorded in the previous report. The total number of deaths since the health emergency was declared thus reaches 7,526. The total number of covid-19 cases in Uruguay since the start of the health emergency is 991,219.
Between October 30 and November 5, 11,876 tests were carried out – the previous week 14,841 were performed – and the percentage of positive cases was 5.6%. In the previous measurement, the figure was 6.3%.
According to the MSP report, the percentage of ICU beds occupied as of November 5 was 57.7%. Of them, it was 0.9% due to covid, while last week it was 1.3%.
