The performance of stocks in the GCC countries varied during the week; The Dubai Financial Market Index only declined, over 4 sessions, by 0.91% to the level of 3951.52 points, while the Abu Dhabi Market Index declined by 1.45% to the level of 9400.75 points.
In Saudi Arabia, the main market index, TASI, ended the week’s trading with an increase of 0.43%, closing at 11,225 points, compared to the previous week’s close at 11,177 points.
In Kuwait, the general market index rose during the week by 0.33%, closing at 6654.64 points, compared to the previous week’s closing at 6632.47 points.
In Bahrain, the Bahrain General Index rose during the week by 0.13%, closing at 1942.35 points, compared to last week’s closing at 1939.77 points.
In Qatar, the Qatar Stock Exchange index declined, over 5 sessions, by 1.93%, closing at 9,848.15 points, compared to last week’s close at 10,062.64 points.
In the Sultanate of Oman, the Muscat Stock Exchange index fell by 1.37% during 5 sessions, closing at 4594.41 points, compared to the previous week’s close at 4658.17 points.
Outside the Gulf region, the Egyptian Stock Exchange Index “EGX 30” ended the week’s trading with an increase of 0.46%, closing at 24,686.16 points, compared to last week’s close at 24,571.98 points.
