This Monday the fifth weekly report of coronavirus In uruguay by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP). According to the report, between May 15 and 21, 8,344 new cases of covid. The previous report had indicated that 5,549 cases had been registered in one week, for which the increase was 50.4%.
In the week there were 12 deaths and the total number of deaths reaches 7,227 since the health emergency was declared in the country, and 916,388 cases. Last week, two deaths of patients with covid diagnosis.
In the week of May 15 to 21, 36,533 tests were carried out and the percentage of positive cases was 18.8%. The previous week, 29,989 had been carried out and the positivity was 10.8%.
According to the report, the percentage of occupied ICU beds as of May 21 was 63.0%. Of them, there were 2.4% due to covid. As of May 14, the percentage of occupied ICU beds was 63.4%, and due to covid it was 2.4%.
