In Ukraine, they want to cancel the transfer of days off if a public holiday coincides with Saturday or Sunday. As a result, the number of days off each year can be reduced by 2-3 days.
This is stated in OBOZREVATEL material… So, the head of the committee on social policy Galina Tretyakova together with a group of her colleagues wrote in the bill №4597… The document proposes to cancel the transfer of the weekend.
For example, if the document was already valid, then in 2021 the number of days off would be reduced by three days. The fact is that the religious holidays Easter and Trinity coincide with Sunday every year. Therefore, we decided to postpone the day off to the next day.

The main idea of this innovation is that reducing the number of days off will increase labor efficiency. However, those surveyed OBOZREVATEL experts agree that a few extra working days a week will not affect the situation, and the main criterion is the structure of the labor market, which depends on the situation in the economy.
