This weekend has been particularly violent in our city, the authorities report several incidents, in one of the most recent a 15-year-old lost his life after a shooting in Manhattan.
The incident occurred Saturday night inside Riverbank State Park, just off Henry Hudson Parkway in Harlem.
Police reported that the teenager was shot multiple times in his body. A firearm was recovered at the scene.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in Morningside where he was pronounced dead.
The police are looking for a man in his 20s who fled the scene by exiting the park on 145th Street. The investigation is ongoing.
