The 10 events not to be missed this weekend:

(for an evening of music)

Friday 2 June live at the Arena Puccini “Kokoroko” opening “Fusai Fusa”. Within the London music scene, “Kokoroko” have shuffled the cards of contemporary jazz. The eight musicians, among the great revelations of 2019, pay homage to the music of their ancestors by proposing a hybrid sound with a blend of soul and afrobeat, between African pride and the energy of British jazz.

(for an atypical afternoon)

Saturday 3 June, 3.30 pm workshop “Green walks – Small explorations in the Certosa”. An exploratory journey aimed at children (5-11 years) to discover together the Certosa, now a Unesco World Heritage Site. During the walk, small observation exercises aimed at nature, art and poetry will be proposed. With the help of a special map we will cross the space trying to grasp the little magic of the place, and at the end of the activity the children will compose a personal postcard that portrays a glimpse of the city.

3. “Unkle Kook” live at Frida nel Parco

Saturday 3 June “Unkle Kook” live in Frida nel Parco. Does surf music exist? That’s probably a thing of the past, or maybe it’s not even a genre after all. If you think of surf music, Dick Dale comes to mind with his instrumental music, or even the Beach Boys, who talked about surfing in the harmonies of their voices. Unkle kook are five non-surfers: guitars, bass, drums and sax. This band is ready to shower you with reverbs and drown you in rock&roll.
