ART / flaresde Renata Schussheim

In the glass dome of the Plaza de las Artes, nine sculptural athletes swim in the air, their dance, weightless and silent, forming a golden spiral, which refers to those described by Fibonacci. The freedom and luminosity of these figures mutates into a darker universe when entering the main room of the Berni Pavilion. There are exhibited 22 black and white photographs that Renata found on the internet and intervened by hand and in which people can be seen dressed as bears together with girls, boys or families.

In addition, the experience is accompanied by a continuous video, in slow motion, of a giant wave about to break. The exhibition of the renowned artist, designer and sculptor can be visited free of charge.

Borges Cultural Center (Viamonte 525, San Nicolás)

From Wednesday to Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

MUSIC / Alejandro Sanz

The Spanish artist arrived in Argentina and, purely sold out, he added a date, thus demonstrating his leadership on the international scene. After his shows in the Plaza de la Música (Córdoba) and in the Metropolitan (Rosario), Sanz made a presentation at the Movistar Arena and will repeat today and on May 11, 12 and 14.

sanz live is the new concert tour of more than two hours, where the singer not only reviews his greatest hits, such as “Corazón partío” or “Amiga mía”, but also performs some of the songs included in his latest studio work, nominated in the “Album of the Year” category at the 2022 Latin Grammys.

This tour has a new and spectacular audiovisual montage that, together with a very personal staging, gives rise to an impressive concert.

THEATER / forest inside

Under the direction of Corina Fiorillo and with text by Carla Moure, a mother and her daughter embark on a journey where multiple destinations are born. Both are alone, in a motorhome, surrounded by time, nature and the silence of the unsaid.

The story takes place in the course of a trip to the south of Argentina bound for Bariloche. The mother, played by Inés Estévez, and the daughter, by Ornella D’Elia, must deal with the family bond that unites them, but at the same time with the distance, the generation gap and the omnipresent patriarchal figure that awaits them when they arrive at destination. The objective is clear: they have to reach the south. None of them knows what the journey will offer them or the hidden truths they will have to face in order to move forward.

Crossed by the climate crisis, late adolescence, postmodern problems and emotional fluctuations, this story goes to the bone of a link between the two. At the end of the trip, nothing will ever be the same for either of them.
