The festive weekend this time starts a day early: in fact, the traditional will take place on Friday in Brescia Sant’Angela Merici Fair. The event will be held along via Gezio Calini and via Francesco Crispi: 60 stalls will be positioned for the sale of clothes and footwear, household items, food products and much more. Also in the city, the appointment with the exhibitions and appointments scheduled in the civic museums continues, from “The city of the Lion” in Santa Giulia in “Three Portraits“, a fascinating theatrical show specially designed for the Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo, around the genius of the artist Giacomo Ceruti. At the Mo.Ca. of Palazzo Martinengo, however, the exhibition “Ukrainian war chronicles. Photographs from 2014 to 2022” by Francesca Volpi, photographic exhibition with 50 works selected by the photojournalist: poignant shots, snapshots that capture moments, impalpable and poignant sensations of 8 years of war.
Many musical and theatrical appointments in the province: dialect comedy is scheduled in Erbusco “Certain ‘things’ you have to know how to do“, in Castegnato they sing with the “Mariano one-man band acoustic show“, while the concert of the “Wooden Mirrors“, rock cover band hosted at the Circolino Yuppi Du. There are also numerous exhibitions: not to be missed “Territorial militias gunsmiths and good” in the enchanting castle of Padernello, an appointment that is part of the initiatives of “Bergamo Brescia Italian Capital of Culture”. The works of Domenico Parigi are exhibited at the Arsenale Foundation in Iseo, for the exhibition entitled “Burns. Bruciatureby Domenico Parigi, a prominent figure on the Lombard art scene since the late 1970s.
As for the palate (which always wants its share), the traditional gastronomic circuit called “Piglets“, which sees “his majesty” the pork as the protagonist on the menus of 12 restaurants participating in the initiative. There are many Brescian specialties to taste: grilled pork empiöm, ribs with Groppello, rice with pestöm and saffron, os de stòmec and much more still.
