Weather: Weekend, cold vortex between Saturday and Sunday, the first weekend of true autumn awaits us
Weather forecast for the weekendA truly autumn weekend awaits us with cold and lots of rain. This is the confirmation that has just arrived thanks to the latest updates in view of the first weekend of November, which will be conditioned by the passage of an insidious Mediterranean vortex with consequences on many regions between Saturday 5 And Sunday 6.
Already in the next few hours the weather conditions are expected to deteriorate strongly under the pressure of cold currents descending from Northern Europe which, diving into the Mediterranean, will give life to a cyclone filled with precipitation as not seen for a long time.
Here, therefore, will come to life first real disturbance with autumnal connotations able to trigger intense rainfall on many areas of our country. Bad weather will strike already from Friday 4 initially the North and then also extended towards the Center and part of the South, while during the weekend, the central and southern regions will see a lot of rain.
In the early hours of Saturday 5 the rains may still affect part of the Northeast, with snow on the central-eastern Alps over 1200 meters of altitude. Next, eyes on it on all the regions of the Center-South and also on the two Major Islands where strong may occur temporal with local flooding due to a lot of energy involved (the seas are still very hot) and the intense contrasts between different air masses.
As our map below shows (purple color = storm risk) the sectors most at risk will be the middle Adriatic side (Abruzzo, Molise and Northern Puglia), as well as the Tyrrhenian sectors of Campania, Calabria and Sicily.

Sunday 6 the cyclone will slowly prepare to leave Italy, however conditions of strong instability will remain central-southern Adriatic regions and Sicily (Tyrrhenian side) where other thunderstorms will be possible (map below).
On the rest of Italy, on the other hand, we will have more and more sunny spaces, thanks to a comeback of the high pressure, even if the temperatures are expected to decrease decidedly due above all to the winds expected from the northern quadrants.
