In Gistel, a bridal couple was forced to postpone the wedding party after their oldtimer bus ended up in the canal.

The couple was on their way to the party hall with some family members when things suddenly went wrong in the Groenestraat. The driver of the oldtimer bus lost control of the steering wheel for an as yet unclear reason, causing the vehicle to end up in the canal.
Three people were injured and taken to hospital for care. The bride was in shock, the wedding party was postponed. Degrave towing service from Middelkerke came on site to hoist the oldtimer bus from the canal.
