Websites of major US airports briefly offline after the cyber attack by pro-Russian hackers

In a ddos attack, a website is taken offline by flooding it with data. The airport’s websites were targeted after pro-Russian hacker group KillNet released a list of sites. The group invited his followers to attack him. The attacks only hit public airport websites. These provide information on flights and services and do not affect operations.

KillNet last week claimed responsibility for attacks on numerous US government websites. The collective targets other countries resisting the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) did not immediately comment.
