Website must stop blending campaign for pregnant women who refuse vaccination

A website must stop the Advertising Code Committee with an action in which pregnant women get a blender if they decide not to use the whooping cough vaccination.

With that free 22-week test, which has been in the National Vaccination Program since December, babies are protected against infectious disease from birth. Everyone can get whooping cough, but especially for newborn babies it is dangerous.

More than a month ago, the website Miss Natural Lifestyle challenged the vaccination by giving a hundred 399 pregnant women who indicated that they would not be vaccinated. The site doubts the usefulness of the “disgusting” vaccination and questions the safety of both mother and child.

The action led to a fuss. “Please stop this. Children are dying in our ICU because of diseases that could have been prevented by vaccination,” wrote a pediatrician who works at the Beatrix Children’s Hospital in Groningen on Twitter. SP Member of Parliament Maarten Hijink called the call “idiot” and RIVM reported the action to the Healthcare and Youth Inspectorate.
