Panama City, Panama/He Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology of Panama reported that this Monday, April 17, that the probability of some light rains in the afternoon in the Eastern and Central Caribbean.
According to the entity, for hours in the morning, the cloudy incursions from the Gulf of Chiriquí and part of the South of Veraguas towards the mainland will continue, generating some rains in said sector, the storms continue over the aforementioned maritime areas.
In the rest of the country, dry conditions remain with little to no chance of rain, with sunny skies prevailing.
Cloud incursions will be forming from the Caribbean Sea, towards the Caribbean provinces and regions, generating cloud cover between skies with little cloudiness to partly cloudy with possible light rains in isolation.
In the afternoon, an increase in cloudiness is expected over the country, mainly between the regions of Bocas del Toro to the Costa Abajo de Colón and from Chiriquí to Veraguas. In the same way over the province of Darién and the Emberá-Wounaan Region, generating moderate to heavy rains and even the possibility of electric shocks.
For the provinces of Coclé and part of Panama West, some isolated showers could be recorded. At night the cloudy sky will continue with less intense rains in an isolated way in: Chiriquí, Bocas del Toro, Ngäbe-Buglé region and Veraguas.
In some sectors of the country, favorable weather conditions are maintained to easily generate and spread plant mass fires. Therefore, people are asked to take the corresponding precautions.

During the day, the maximum temperatures are expected to be between 28°C to 35°C throughout the country, with the highest temperatures recorded in the central provinces, except over mountains and the Central Cordillera where they will be reaching between 23 °C up to 29 °C.
