The meteorologists even warn of the danger of local heavy rain. After all, the temperatures drop only minimally – up to 9 degrees in the higher mountains and up to 16 degrees in the Rhine-Neckar area.

Especially in the mountains and “in the eastern parts of the country”, the DWD meteorologists are forecasting an increasing risk of showers, isolated thunderstorms and occasional fresh gusts with temperatures of up to 11 degrees in the mountains and 18 degrees in Freiburg.

On Monday it will finally be a little warmer again with up to 20 degrees in the Kurpfalz and at least 13 degrees in the higher elevations. There will be repeated rain showers from midday, but the meteorologists of the German Weather Service are leaving with slightly better weather – sometimes even “bright”.

The good thing: It probably won’t stay that way for long. Overall, meteorologists expect the weather in May to be too dry and warm. Only the so-called ice saints, where plants should be given special protection, can still be a clear exception this year.
