The forecasts of the meteorologists are confirmed and until Saturday we are expected to have heavy rain in many areas of Greece, with Attica receiving a double passage of bad weather.
According to the forecast of Yannis Kallianos on Thursday 14/11 we will have “selective rains”. Especially for Attica, he spoke of a rapid passage of bad weather in the early hours of Thursday between 5 and 7 in the morning.
From Friday, the new wave of bad weather will come which will affect many areas and more intense phenomena are expected, as well as the risk of flooding.
Three days of rain in Attica
Overall in Attica we are expected to have rain on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We will see the most intense phenomena in the early morning hours of Thursday and also on Saturday morning.

Over 100 mm of rain in Pyrgos
Storms affected the Tower of Ilias from 00:00 to 07:00 on the morning of Wednesday 11/13, with the total amount of precipitation according to the meteo.gr/EAA automatic weather station in the city amounting to 101 millimeters.
Significant amounts of rain were recorded in several more areas of the Peloponnese and the Iptane Islands according to the network of automatic weather stations of the National Observatory of Athens / meteo.gr. The eight highest rainfall amounts up to 10:00 am on Wednesday 11/13 are shown in the table below.
The forecast for Thursday (14/11)
Increased clouds across the country. Rains and sporadic storms are predicted in the Ionian, the mainland, the Sporades, Evia, gradually in the islands of the northern and eastern Aegean, the Cyclades, western Crete and from the afternoon in the Dodecanese and the rest of Crete. The phenomena that are likely to be locally strong in the Ionian, the west, the central and northern continental and the eastern Aegean, will weaken in the evening in the west. Temporary snowfalls will occur in the northern mountains.
Winds will blow to the west from southerly directions 3 to 5 Beaufort, quickly turning to northwesterlies which will strengthen locally to 6 Beaufort. In the east they will blow from southerly directions at 4 to 6 Beaufort, quickly turning north to northerly, with a tendency to strengthen further at night.
The temperature will drop slightly in the north. It will range in the north from 03 to 14 degrees, in the rest of the country from 07 to 18 to 20 degrees and in the southern Aegean from 15 to 22 to 23 and in Crete locally up to 24 degrees Celsius.
The forecast for Friday (15/11)
Clouds with rain and sporadic storms in most areas of the country. The phenomena that may temporarily (mainly in the eastern continental and eastern Aegean) be strong will be limited at night in the eastern country. Snowfall will occur in the central and northern highlands of the mainland.
Winds will blow in the west, central and north from north directions 5 to 7 and gradually in the northeast Aegean 8 Beaufort. In the rest of the areas, southwesterly winds of 4 to 6 Beaufort will be blowing. The temperature will drop in the west, central and north.
The forecast for Saturday (16/11)
In the eastern mainland (except Thrace) and the Aegean islands, clouds increased with local rains and mainly in the central and southern isolated storms. A little snow will fall in the continental highlands. The phenomena in the evening will be limited to the central and southern regions and will weaken. A little snow will fall in the mountains of the central and northern country. A few clouds in the rest of the country. The winds will blow from northern directions, in the west 4 to 5 Beaufort, in the east 5 to 6 and in the Aegean 7 locally 8 Beaufort. The temperature decreases from north to south. It will fluctuate by 5 to 7 degrees below normal levels for the season.
The forecast for Sunday (17/11)
Gradual improvement of the weather throughout the country and only in the east and south there will be temporarily increased clouds and there will be a few local rains in the morning hours in Crete and the southernmost parts of the Dodecanese.
The winds will blow from northern directions, in the west 3 to 4 Beaufort, in the east 3 to 5 and in the Aegean 5 to 7 and temporarily in the southeast locally up to 8 Beaufort. The temperature will not change appreciably and will be kept at low levels.
