Weather this summer: – The heat returns:

Sun and high temperatures this summer are like music to most people’s ears. It offers opportunities for swimming and beach fun, tanned bodies and a cold beer on the pier.

But not everyone can enjoy good weather, unfortunately. State meteorologist Julie Solsvik Vågane can announce that there is a fairly clear distinction between north and south in the time ahead.

High temperatures

Southern Norway stands out as the place with the best weather.

– Eastern Norway can expect high temperatures on Friday and the rest of the weekend, says Vågane.

Sun and up to 30 degrees is what applies to Eastern Norway this weekend. For many, it is good news, but some may think it is in the warmest team.

There are probably many who have struggled to sleep in the last week. On Twitter, meteorologists report tropical nights in several places in the past week. The warmest was at Blindern in Oslo and at Lindesnes lighthouse. With the good weather ahead, there will also be opportunities for more warm nights.

– Right now the temperatures are around 20 degrees at night. The question then is whether the temperature falls below or above, says the meteorologist on duty at the Meteorological Institute.

For it to be a tropical night, the temperature must stay above 20 degrees from kl. 20 to kl. 08 the day after.

Sørlandet can also enjoy the summer idyll this weekend.

– Agder gets much of the same weather as Eastern Norway. There will also be sun and high temperatures, says Vågane.

This means that children and adults who have spent their holiday at Kristiansand Zoo can bathe in the sun with Julius and the rest of the monkeys.

So far we have had a hot summer in general in Norway. Both Bergen and Værnes have measured the average warmest first half of the summer ever since the measurements started, according to the Meteorological Institute.

Gray and wet

Those in western and northern Norway are not as lucky. On Thursday, the Norwegian Meteorological Institute issued a warning for strong gusts in Nordland. The danger warning was valid until Friday night, but there is a possibility that the wind will continue into the weekend.

– A stiff to strong gale and gust of 27-30 m / s is expected, the meteorologists write on Twitter.

Wind and rain showers seem to be key words for the days ahead in both Western Norway and Northern Norway.

– Most weather will be in these areas. It is the weather that draws in from the west that characterizes Western and Northern Norway, Vågane explains.

On Friday, a particularly heavy rainfall was reported in Troms. The Norwegian Meteorological Institute has issued a warning for rain and flood.

– Pack the tent

However, it looks better for western Norway and Trøndelag today. The meteorologist can not promise sun and cloudless skies, but the umbrella can stay at home. On Saturday, the rain clouds will settle over western, central and northern Norway. In several places you can expect rain and rain showers over the weekend.

For anyone vacationing in the beautiful north, meteorologists recommend packing your tent in strong gusts of wind. Right now it looks like the coming week will be marked by the same weather as this weekend.

This week’s winner and loser

– The weather for next week is related to the weather coming from the west. It will be gray and rainy in Western, Central and Northern Norway, says Vågane and points out this week’s weather losses:

– There I must say the whole of Northern Norway. It is difficult to pinpoint one loser.

Southern and Eastern Norway seem to bring the nice weather into next week. Eastern Norway is sheltered from the weather that hits the north, so in the south of the country you can expect sun and high temperatures, although the degree will drop slightly from the weekend.

Meteorologists have reported good bathing temperatures in several places in the south and east of the country in the last week. It will probably continue.

Can you name a weather winner?

– With a lot of nice weather both in the south and east, it is difficult to point out a place, but it may be best in the southeastern parts, towards Sweden, says Vågane, who also does not rule out the capital as a potential weather winner.
